Live Earth's mission is to use the power of music and film to raise awareness for the climate crisis. On July 7, 2007, Live Earth hosted eight major events on all seven continents and inspired an audience of 2 billion to take action.150 artists demonstrated that this cause is worth their time and sixty award-winning filmmakers created short films to engage Live Earth's global audience and demonstrate solutions to the climate crisis. The Live Earth film series will be touring the film festival and event circuit throughout 2008, creating a legacy of inspiration that will further underscore the need to act now.
